I'm headed to Aruba in November. Has anyone fished on any of the local boats? If so, any recommendation for a charter? Thanks.

Default Teaser Charters

www.teasercharters.com They have 2 35' Bertrams which I have fished on many of times. Depending on the time of the year you wil get an asortment of fish. I have caught Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Barracuda, Kingfish and YFT. Best time I had was in March, 6-8 Wahoo were typical for a half day charter. They fish very close to the island so a half day is usually enough. Last time I fished with them it was $275 for a half day. On most days there are plenty of boats looking to go out and you can negotiate a little but if you want to go with Teaser try and book ahead. Be ready for the average 6-8 foot seas some days bigger some days smaller.

My wife and I honeymooned there in 75.If you have any issues with sea sickness get the patch. They have these prevailing winds and it does get sloppy.

I thought about Aruba as a vacation/fishing destination. However, my plans changed when I saw the lack of cooperation their government is giving the Holloway family in finding their daughter.

Something is VERY FISHY in Aruba, don't ya think?

Cabo San Lucas, here I come baby!

I commend you you for not vacationing in Aruba with all BS that is happening with the missing girl. The only way we can put pressure on the government is for all americans not to visit Aruba and spend our dollars. Without tourism the country could not exist. If enough people bouycot them I guarentee you that they will get to the bottom of her murder.

It's a real shame how badly Aruba's gov't reacted to the girl's murder this year. Then again, what can you expect from a tropical island that's about the size of Nassau County.
I only vactioned in Aruba once, back in 1995, and it was awesome. Didn't get to any fishing but pretty much snorkled the whole time we were there, it was amazing.
