Default Getting closer every day

Got the last of the support fit and then took apart and glued then screwed back.
Two coats of epoxy on all. I will fit the wood around the engine bay tomorrow. I am putting multiple coats of epoxy on the inboard cleat support so it will leave a rough texture. When I paint I hope it will blend with the inboard hull finish.

Every thing I get finished is one less I have to do.

Default Engine Bay extention

Making the engine bay wider. The boards are glued and screwed and clamped to dry. The plywood enclosures are sanded to take the epoxy better.

One more down!!

Happy Fathers Day

Nice! It's starting to look like what it's going to look like. I don't need to tell you, the devil is in the details and the details will eat you alive. But I have faith in you. Keep up the good work, and have a great Father's Day.

Thank You Avenger,

My problem or my aptitude for details is what is taking me so long. Its hard for me to let even the small things go. But if I cover it and I know it then I will always know it. So I try to get it right the first or second or third time !! haha I was given a very nice complement that stated I was being very neat with the work. Ill take that,

I don't know when, but I will get there...........

I know how these things go and I can see the level of attention you're giving it. It's what eats up all my time in projects. The inability to say "good enough." Although I have reached a point where I can be somewhat reasonable about whether it really matters or if I'm just being too particular. Wait 'til you get past the heavy stuff and start on the finish work. That's when it gets really bad. But you'll be happy with it when it's done and have no regrets.

Default A different take

No cleat on top to get in the way or hung on our dive equipment. The spring lines will go down thru the fitting and tie to the inboard cleat.

The fitting threads will be trimmed flush.

The engine bay is fit and ready for epoxy screws and paint.

Default 30 more things

My list is stuck on 30.. Every time I finish a list of items and then recount what is left for the build, (just the boat no power, wiring etc) my list always seems to go back to 30.

So for now I have 30 more items to go. This is a little like Ground Hog day movie.
