I love to Jig for them in the spring and use crab and clams they work great too,one thing "We call jigging" because We are using a jig,but don't try to jig like you do it for Flukes or Bluefish,Just race the arm and let it go slow to the bottom,let it stay there few minutes and do it again,also you can feed the line letting go few feet and stop,must of the time You will feel the bite going down ,let the fish take it and strike...Good Luck....Fred.
