Lots of heavy winds kept us at the dock for most of the week. Thursday was the first fishable day but still less than ideal conditions. A mix of fluke and sea bass kept everyone busy. Carly Rivas from Cornwall, NY took the AM pool with a 4.2 fluke and in the afternoon it was Terrie Quick from East Hampton. Things got much better in the lull in the wind on Friday afternoon and the sea bass bit their heads off! 78 keeper sea bass and lots of action with some fluke mixed in made for a good day!Darby took pool honors with a 4.3 lb fluke. The wind came again on Sat morning, a couple of dozen sea bass and 6 fluke with Mike Sesek from Pittsburg taking top honors. The sea bass continued biting Sunday morning in tough conditions. 54 keepers along with 10 keeper fluke. Rich Warmy landed the 4.5 lb pool fluke followed by twin 4 lbers for Rachael and Matt. In the afternoon a group of NYC bartenders had a fun afternoon with the sea bass releasing all that they caught!

More good action in the afternoon with almost 80 sea bass to 3 lbs, 7 keeper fluke and some porgies. The action continued on Thursday morning with lots more sea bass.

EBB TIDE will be starting all day sea bass/porgy fishing on Monday Sept 22nd.

(all tickets sold for Sat 9/20)

On Saturday, a charter for James and his firefighter buddies from Holbrook F.D. had a load of sea bass along with a few dozen porgies. John Phalen took top honors with his 3 lb sea bass topping off a limit. The great sea bass action continued on Sunday along with a bunch of porgies. Many limit catches with Andy Malaneski copping the pool with a 3.2 sea bass. In the afternoon 12 year old Adam was tops with a 3.4 sea bass. The porgies outnumbered the sea bass this trip with 75 nice sea bass there was still plenty for all.

The EBB TIDE will now be running all day sea bass and porgy from 7 am to 3 pm every day except Tuesdays.

Saturday was a charter for Ed Reilly and friends who worked at it all day jigging and eeling for bass and blues. A 36 lb bass was tops for Evelyn, 35 and 33 lbers were next along with some blues. Back to bottom fishing on Sunday mornings half day trip with a load of sea bass to 2.5 lbs and a mess of porgies.

THE EBB TIDE WILL BE SAILING 2 HALF DAY TRIPS ( 8 TO 12 AND 1 TO 5 )
UNTIL THE END OF OCTOBER...(sorry for the confusion)

Another week of nasty winds, but when conditions allow the sea bass and porgies are thick. On Sunday mornings half day we sailed around the south side to avoid the northwest wind and found a boat limit of sea bass and a bunch of porgies. Chum-Lee took the pool with a 3 lb sea bass followed up by Steve Rush with a 2.75 lber.
