I was there during the warmer months for a meeting, and fishing was pretty non-existent from the shore. I made friends with one of the locals that took me for a ride to the shore (a pretty good hike) where I was fishing off a pier, but didn't catch anything.

The city of Savannah itself was really cool. Be sure to stop and enjoy some boiled peanuts and some drinks along the riverfront.

There is a pier on Tybee Island about a 30 minute drive from savannah depending where your staying, a little farther if your in savannah gateway. The pier is on the ocean so it's probably your best bet but during the winter I would think shore fish may be scarce. There are a few party/charter boats on the island as well but again, I don't think they have much going on, Amicks is one that comes to mind. Good luck and have fun, savannah is a really cool city

Dont think much will be going on with fishing that time of year ..but ...do check out RIVER STREET SWEETS along the waterfront and bring home some tasty bear claws..remember to ask for a "Go-Cup" if you want to take your drink outside too.
