Of course, Don! The Fishcrats are scheming up a sinister plot to subvert the very roots of recreational and commercial fishing. The meeting was a vote to approve or disapprove putting a fence around all of Long Island and Westchester, at the high water mark, to control all access to water and fisheries.

But the official story is that there weren't enough councilors able to attend to have a discussion, this being the annual meeting where we comment on bills before the state legislature that are relevant to the marine district. usually a very dry, long process, and since there wasn't going to be a quorum to officially make recommendations, it was decided that councilors can comment on there own.

The MRAC is kind of a waste at this point since what's discussed, voted on & recommended has absolutely no bearing on the final decisions. Kind of like posting on this website.

Even the councilors don;t find the MRAC meetings important enough to attend .

CaptPaul - being a MRAC councilman - does that make you a fishcrat?
