Went for an evening cruise tonight and coming back into Mamaroneck harbor a seal popped up, looked at us then dove under. We circled back and watched him do this a couple times. Pretty cool, only second time I have seen a seal in the sound.

good to see the sound getting healthier but bad to see the seals munching on our already diminishing flounder, eels and seabass stocks

My son and I have seen seals over by the Throgs Neck Bridge in late November. They're pretty common from Norwalk and out east. The Maritime Aquarium runs seal watching trips in the winter. As for me, I wish they'd stay away. They really can do a number of the flounders and striped bass.

One was in larchmont harbor eating a rather large blackfish on the rocks just off the gezebos. He looked very happy.
